Successful Re-Accreditation of MLL

Since 2009, MLL has been accredited according to the international standards DIN EN ISO 15189 "Medical laboratories - Requirements for quality and competence" and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS). In April this year, MLL was once again audited by DAkkS. Its existing accreditations were successfully upheld and expanded with new analyses. Since being founded in 2005, MLL has stood for high quality and constant improvements in the diagnostics of hematological neoplasia. Its spatial and technical configuration correspond to the very latest technological standards, its devices are strictly monitored, and employees undergo comprehensive advanced and further training. The analytical methods are validated and/or verified and extensively documented. MLL successfully participates in internal and external quality assurance programs.

Since MLL's initial accreditation in 2009, the laboratory is regularly audited by DAkkS in order to verify its conformity with the requirements of the relevant standards. The latest audit verifies that MLL successfully fulfills all the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 15189 standard as well as DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, which was revised in 2017. Particularly in the field of molecular genetics, the spectrum of accredited methods was successfully expanded with whole genome and transcriptome sequencing.
